University of Kashmir: The Institute of Technology Zakura (IOT) clinched the championship title in the Inter-Department Men’s Cricket Tournament by defeating the Department of Physical Education & Sports (DPES) in a thrilling final match. IOT emerged victorious by 09 runs after scoring 123 in 20 overs in the first innings. Showcasing exceptional teamwork, sportsmanship and skills, the IOT team restricted the opposition to 114 emerging victorious in the finals. IOT captain Saqib Reshi was adjudged man of the match for his all-round performance. Pertinently, 45 teams participated in the tournament spanning over two months. The trophy was handed over to the winning team by Director Admissions Prof Fayaz Ahmad.
