The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from six departmental teams, reflecting the growing sporting spirit and camaraderie among students of the Institute. The matches, played over several days, showcased remarkable talent, teamwork and competitive zeal.
The valedictory ceremony was attended by the Director of the Institute, Prof Mohammad Tariq Banday, who congratulated the participating teams and appreciated the efforts of the Sports Division in promoting sports culture within the campus. Prof Tariq Chesti (Distance education) graced the occasion as the Special Guest. The dignitaries, along with I/C Sports Dr Nadeem Jahangir, felicitated the winning team, runners-up and outstanding performers of the tournament.
Jibran Mir (CSE) was adjudged both the “Man of the Match” and the “Man of the Tournament” for his exceptional performance and consistent contribution throughout the championship.
