Since its establishment in 2014, building upon the University’s pioneering engineering programs initiated in 2009, the Institute has steadily evolved into a vibrant centre of technical education, innovation, and research in Jammu & Kashmir. With a strong commitment to academic excellence and societal impact, we strive to nurture competent engineers, creative thinkers, and responsible citizens.

The Institute offers a comprehensive portfolio of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in core engineering disciplines such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, and Computer Science & Engineering, along with emerging areas including Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. Our academic framework emphasizes flexibility, interdisciplinarity, and experiential learning in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Credit Framework.

Our curriculum is designed to blend strong theoretical foundations with practical exposure, ethical values, and sustainable engineering practices. Supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure, over thirty advanced laboratories, and modern workshops, students gain hands-on experience in cutting-edge domains such as robotics, artificial intelligence, power systems, manufacturing, and civil engineering.

Innovation and entrepreneurship form the cornerstone of our academic ecosystem. Through initiatives such as the Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship and the National Innovation Foundation Cell (J&K), we actively promote creativity, research, and startup culture among our students. Our advanced facilities—including the 5G Use Case Lab, e-Yantra Robotics and IoT Lab (in collaboration with IIT Bombay), and the Engineering Kitchen—provide a dynamic platform for interdisciplinary innovation and prototyping. Further strengthening this ecosystem, a state-of-the-art Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) Lab is being established in collaboration with IIT Ropar.

The Institute maintains strong collaborations with premier academic institutions, including IITs, and leading industries, enabling students to benefit from internships, research opportunities, and industry exposure. Our graduates have successfully secured positions in reputed organizations and have pursued higher studies at globally recognized universities.
