Plantation Drive to Promote Environmental Awareness & Sustainability
The NSS Unit-II of the Institute of Technology, under Programme Officer Dr Nadeem Jahangir Bhat and NSS Group ‘E’ Leader Mr. Faiq Fayaz, organized a plantation drive on 1st April 2026 to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
The drive was inaugurated by Director Prof Mohammad Tariq Banday, who planted the first plant. With support from the Institute’s Landscaping Division, NSS volunteers planted over 90 saplings of diverse varieties across the campus, enhancing its green cover and aesthetic appeal. The initiative reflected strong collective spirit and a commitment to eco-friendly practices. Refreshments were served to the volunteers at the end of the event.
