The Centre for Innovation, Incubation, and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) successfully organized an engaging and inspiring "Innovation & Entrepreneurship Outreach Program" at Kashmir University Model High School. The event, held on August 2, 2024, aimed to foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among young students, encouraging them to explore and develop their innovative ideas.
The program, hosted by Miss Uzma, featured insightful sessions from distinguished speakers. Miss Uzma opened the event with an introduction to CIIE, discussing the importance of innovation and the process of securing patents. Her address set the tone for an informative and motivational day.
Dr. Sheikh Javed, Regional mentor for AIM & ATL schools provided an in-depth look at the Atal Incubation Mission and the Atal Tinkering Labs. He elaborated on the various schemes available for schools, emphasizing the importance of providing students with the resources and support needed to develop their innovative ideas.
Dr. Bilal concluded the speaker sessions with a discussion on the role of innovation councils in schools. He underscored the importance of establishing a supportive environment for young innovators and shared insights on how schools can foster a culture of creativity and innovation.
The students on spot started submitting various ideas. Numerous ideas were collected from the students. Best ideas of the students were felicitated and shall be documented supported by CIIE.
The outreach program's objectives were multi-faceted:
- Inspire young innovators by showcasing success stories and providing motivational talks.
- Organize an Ideathon to encourage school children to share their innovative ideas and solutions.
- Engage with students in sub-groups to provide one-on-one mentorship support through young innovators of our institution.
- Invite student innovators and Hackathon junior winners to interact with the students, sharing their experiences and insights.
The event was a significant step in nurturing the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs. It provided practical mentorship and guidance, helping students to realize their potential and develop their ideas into tangible projects. By fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, the program also enhanced CIIE’s reputation as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
