M. Tariq Banday possesses Ph. D. degrees in Electronics (Network Security) from University of Kashmir, Srinagar, India. At present, he teaches at the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Technology, University of Kashmir. He is senior member of IEEE, member ACM, life member CSI, and other reputed societies. He has to his credit about 200 publications as book chapters, articles, and abstracts in journals and conference proceedings. His teaching and research interests include microprocessor & micro-controller architecture (Cortex-M, PIC, etc.), Embedded System Security and Forensics, Internet of Things, programming and Interfacing; programming and problem solving; computer organization, design & architecture; Internet of things; network, Internet, e-mail, & web security; data structures and database management systems; and e-learning & e-governance. His research interests include Cloud Computing, Security in Internet of Things, Web Security & Image Forensics, Digital Structures and Memory Forensics.
